Terra Constructs Completes Suitland Parking Garage Repairs at US Census Bureau for GSA

Terra Constructs (Terra) completed the General Services Administration (GSA) planned repairs for the Suitland Parking Garages A, B & C. These parking garages service the offices of the US Census Bureau as well as other co-located government agencies. The building project under NAICS 236220 required concrete removal and repair in the three garages, expansion joint edge repair and replacement of the header curb. Despite design changes and winter weather, Terra delivered the project within the customer’s expected timeline. Terra collaborated with the GSA to phase the project in a manner that did not disrupt the parking needs of GSA’s customer, US Census Bureau, while providing signage and sequestering work areas to ensure the safety of patrons and employees. Terra’s safety-oriented culture and site-specific Job Hazard Analysis Work Plans in concert with the customer’s leadership provided an overarching safety approach to delivering this project at an operational government hub. Terra continues to implement new initiatives and technology to lower our EMR and build a sustainable culture centered around health and safety.
