Terra Constructs, serving as Prime Contractor, was awarded a competitive contract by the National Park Service to lead the comprehensive rehabilitation of the historic Columbus Circle Fountain, delivering more than 30,000 craft hours to restore one of the nation’s most recognizable civic landmarks.
For millions of visitors arriving in Washington, D.C. each year, Columbus Circle is their first impression of the nation’s capital. Located at the gateway to Union Station and the U.S. Capitol, it stands as one of Washington’s most visible and historic public spaces.
Over an accelerated five-month schedule, Terra coordinated specialty trades, historic craftsmen, suppliers, and project partners to restore the fountain’s architectural features, rehabilitate critical mechanical infrastructure, preserve historic materials, and enhance the long-term performance of this iconic landmark while maintaining its historic character.
