Construction Foreman – Heavy Civil

Terra Constructs currently has a requirement for an experienced Construction Foreman to support its operations in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The position is responsible for being the point of contact between construction crews and Construction Superintendents and Managers. The position provides on-site coordination of projects with crew members and clients. The Construction Foreman is responsible for ensuring schedules are met and work is performed in a safe and responsible manner. Prior experience working on projects involving construction of Segmental Block Retaining Walls and MSC Walls is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works as the point of contact between crew members and construction managers.
  • Coordinates, assigns, and directs the day-to-day tasks on projects.
  • Responsible for creating and ensuring work schedules are met.
  • Ensures that work meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Reports on the work progress of assigned projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that work is performed in a safe manner consistent with established company safety standards.
  • Interacts with clients on day-to-day work issues.
  • Develops and reports work schedules.
  • Handles and resolves issues that may arise between crew members.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Construction Foreman working on Heavy Civil projects.
  • Sound knowledge of Construction practices and processes.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and processes.
  • Strong commitment to Safe Workplace Practice
